First Lutheran Church First Lutheran Church
Brookings, SD
Missions at First Lutheran refer to any and all outreach done by our congregation - reaching out across the world, across the USA, across South Dakota, and across the town of Brookings. Among others, it’s helping a missionary in Tanzania, it’s providing education for an orphaned boy in Thailand, it’s providing support of ministries in our prisons, and it’s providing shelter to abused people.
Beyond the stewardship of our money, mission is also the stewardship of our gifts and our time. Many opportunities exist that give members and friends the opportunity to share their God-given gifts.
Get Connected and put to work the gifts God has given you.
How we do it
We, as a congregation, have a goal of giving 15% of our total annual budget to missions. In addition to this goal, four to five larger missions will be presented to the congregation to give them a greater opportunity to participate and support something that may truly excite them.
